AVST Extends Reach in Healthcare Sector

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Applied Voice & Speech Technologies (AVST) said that healthcare
organizations around the globe are adopting its flagship product,
CallXpress.

Healthcare organizations are under pressure to lower costs and
continually work to enrich patient communications. As a result, over
600 hospitals, clinics and medical organizations worldwide have
selected CallXpress to improve their overall communication, the company
said.

"More and more healthcare organizations are turning to AVST to assist
them in replacing existing voice mail systems with next generation
communications platforms," said Denny Michael, AVST's Vice President of
Marketing. "Whether a business is looking to replace an outdated voice
mail system or move to unified messaging, and ultimately unified
communications, we can provide the technology roadmap to get them to
their goal."

AVST said that it has a successful track record of over 600 worldwide
installations including a growing list of large and reputable hospitals
and healthcare organizations including Saint Barnabas Health Care
System.

Saint Barnabas Health Care System of West Orange, New Jersey had an
outdated Centigram voice mail system that needed to be replaced, but
wanted to maintain their existing NEC PBX system. CallXpress was an
ideal choice for them because it emulated the command structure of
their previous Centigram voice mail system, which minimized user
training after the installation. Today, over 7,000 users take advantage
of CallXpress with eight centers across its hospitals and healthcare
affiliates all networked together.

In addition to Saint Barnabas Health Care System, Jamaica Hospital

Medical Center, based in N.Y., has been an AVST customer for nearly ten
years. Jamaica Hospital operates a network of medical centers known as
Medisys Family Care Centers, a billing facility, an administrative
location and Brookdale Hospital in N.Y. Jamaica Hospital Medical Center
has standardized on CallXpress across all locations.

"Many healthcare organizations are in need of a solution that is
flexible and can integrate seamlessly with a mixed PBX environment
across a host of sites," added Michael. "We come to these organizations
with a solution that meets their needs and we back it with over 25
years of industry expertise and an extensive network of channel
partners that provide exceptional service and support. That's why
CallXpress has been the solution of choice for so many."

CallXpress is a Unified Communications platform that deliverscall
processing, voice mail, unified messaging, fax, notification and
speech-enabled personal assistant capabilities to help healthcare
organizations become more productive.
