APC Presents at 6th Data Centers Europe 2010 Conference

The organizers and researchers of 6th Data Centers Europe 2010 conference have announced that APC by Schneider Electric will be presenting.
According to officials, APC will also demonstrate how to provide energy while addressing energy efficiency legislation. The event will take place at the Espaces Antipolis, near Nice, France 22-23 April 2010.
Mr Paul-Francois Cattier, VP France, Benelux & French speaking Africa, said, "With the current economic situation and growing energy costs; budgets are contracting making it increasingly important for companies to operate their datacentres more efficiently. However, it is not just a financial concern, as the rising social conscience and legislative drivers over carbon emissions will have a great impact on changing behaviours and practices. As Governments introduce energy saving targets, companies will be compelled to adopt a "green" IT strategy."
"Our company provides enterprise customers with a fully integrated solution to optimise their data centre power and cooling consumptions in a cost effective manner. Technologies evolve extremely rapidly and customers demand a fast deployment, so our modular solution allows for change and growth of IT deployment and density without over-sizing the data centre." Added Mr Cattier.
Philip Low, managing director of BroadGroup added, "Although carbon reduction is the global goal, the implementation of schemes by individual European governments does vary. The UK government's Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) scheme for example is widely criticised, and has not factored in the need for enterprises to migrate to cloud services as part of the growth and expansion by data centres. We have already seen evidence of data centre build plans being curtailed in the UK, and investment moving to other countries such as the Netherlands, where schemes address the core challenge of growth and carbon planning more astutely."
