Geotab Selects Quake Global's Hardware


Geotab, Inc., a global telematics producer, together with Quake Global, Inc. (QUAKE), a designer and manufacturer of industrial M2M modems and controllers for advanced data acquisition, machine, process and motion control and asset monitoring through satellite, cellular, GPS and other emerging technologies, recently announced the availability of the GO4v3 telematics device from Geotab supporting global satellite data coverage with the Q9612 high performance satellite modem from QUAKE.

The GO4v3 from Geotab is a strong compact device. It offers a wide range of remote telematics and emergency information. The new generation device natively supports numerous terrestrial communication protocols and can interface with multiple sensors.

The customers of Geotab are flawlessly connected to their remote assets anywhere in the world with the integration of the Q9612 satellite modem from QUAKE. When operating outside of conventional cellular coverage, satellite fills in the gaps.

The transition between cellular and satellite is autonomous and flawless when these communicators are combined. These devices are sealed environmentally. They also meet the strict power conditioning requirements of fleet operations. When paired with the dynamic and easy-to-use software from Geotab, customers become conscious of sensible ways to better manage their operations in terms of productivity, operating costs, safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance, and more.

Sergio Ramos, the CTO of QUAKE, commented recently in a press release that “Geotab has an impressive, diverse customer base, comprising large fleet operators with varying usage patterns and geographic profiles.” Ramos added, “The Q9612 will provide Geotab’s customers with real-world value and safety in ensuring that their assets are always in touch under any conditions and regardless of location.”

QUAKE’s Q9612 has the right set of features and performance results, making it complimentary  to Geotab’s product line.”

In recent news, Geotab partnered with Aeris (News - Alert), to provide real-time tracking and monitoring solutions for fleet productivity and fuel savings.
