Strong top and bottom line improvements have been reported by CYBRA Corporation. The increase in revenue occurred during the fiscal second quarter, which ended on June 30, 2010. CYBRA is a software developer, publisher and systems integrator focused on Auto Identification technology solutions.
A positive reception was received from new and existing customers for new features of CYBRA's flagship MarkMagic product. The general trend of increased market acceptance of RFID technology has been mirrored as the sales of EdgeMagic has begun to pick up. EdgeMagic is CYBRA’s new RFID product. As compared to the second quarter of 2009, the revenues have increased by 59% in the 2010 quarter. While the second quarter of 2009 saw revenue of $306,181, the revenue in the 2010 quarter reached $487,578.
The company saw a 65% increase quarter-over-quarter in gross margins as a percentage of sales. This was as a result of more profitable software product sales. These were up by 109%. Due to lower reliance on low-margin equipment sales, the company expects margins to continue to improve into the third quarter of 2010.
The company also saw a 769% rise in operating cash flows. The second quarter of 2010 saw the operating cash flow at $56,823. While the company was in a loss for Non-GAAP net income in the 2009 quarter, the company saw a profit of $89,412 in the 2010 quarter.
Debt restructuring has also been completed by the company. A debt settlement expense of approximately $695,000 has been incurred by the company for the same by restructuring a portion of its 8% convertible debentures.
In a release, Harold Brand, CEO, CYBRA said, "Despite weakness in our end markets, CYBRA reported yet another quarter of increased revenues and attained profitability on a cash-basis. Looking forward, we expect to continue to benefit from a recovering economy, superior technology, and an emerging trend towards RFID integration among retailers following Wal-Mart's latest moves to require certain of its vendors to begin using RFID tags on their products."
