Telenor Connexion Opens Up In Japan


Telenor Connexion, a global provider of embedded connectivity solutions, announced that the company has opened a new office in Tokyo. This development reflects the need to support a growing demand for M2M and telematics solutions in the Asia/Pacific region.

 “Japan is among the most mature M2M markets within the Asia/Pacific region. The opening of our office in Tokyo reinforces our long-term commitment to both Japan and the Asia/Pacific region as a whole. It also allows us to further assist locally-based clients with regional and global market opportunities,” said Thomas Strandin, vice president of sales for APAC.

Ola Olsson, country manager for Japan and Korea, said, “I am very excited about our local presence in Japan. My ambition is to supply a wide range of Asian customers with global M2M connectivity solutions – especially those requiring high performance for business and life critical applications. The opportunities in all vertical markets are growing.”

Telenor (News - Alert) Connexion is constantly expanding its global market presence and has recently established an office in the U.S. The company already has offices in Sweden, U.K., France and Switzerland.
