eWON Sets Its Sights on the US

eWON, a European manufacturer of remote connectivity products for the automation market, has set its sights on the U.S. market and opened an office, eWON, Inc.

The company’s products include its Talk2M service, a Web-based remote access method that gives single-click Internet access to remote machines, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and sites worldwide. OEM/machine builders and system integrators can employ this service to pinpoint problems on the machine at customer site without interrupting their operations. In addition, eliminating costly, urgent on-site visits reduces service costs.

These days, machines are increasingly sophisticated and specialized, requiring experts who are seldom available locally. Manufacturers are shifting from local to global footprint and need to support customers far from their home base. This is where eWON’s industrial routers enter the picture. They allow companies to make their machines “Internet enabled” and for many companies, maintenance and support is recognized as a key competitive advantage.

“For eWON, the USA is a fantastic market with many successful manufacturers who need to reduce their service costs and better serve their customers locally and globally as well,” said Dominique Blanc, general manager of eWON, Inc. “Our objectives are to strengthen our position with local presence and better serve our customers on the American market.”
