The French Industry Ministry has launched a new project called “Plateforme Telecom” (PFT), which will offer an extensive suite of hi-tech scientific equipment for the development of new radio modules and communication systems. A collaborative project that involves pioneering SMEs such as iQsim besides industrial leaders and famous laboratories, PFT has been pre-selected for ‘Innovative Platform Project’ by the Ministry.
This innovative project is expected to provide a platform to companies aiming to develop new products, new concepts on the areas "future mobile network and services" and "Machine-to-Machine (M2M) applications and services."
Apart from that, PFT will introduce various tools such as test, evaluation and development, which would enable companies to access and play with future mobile and M2M technologies.
Being a part of the consortium for executing PFT project, iQsim will utilize its expertise in virtual SIM technology in addition to its capability to test pre-deployment of M2M large solution by simulating and managing probes and sensors' networks. The expertise areas of iQsim will play a pivotal role in the success of PFT as these are very critical in developing new radio modules and communications systems.
iQsim flagship product, IRON Suite, is a SIM server platform enabling mobile operators to test the quality of services and applications they commission across the globe.
"We appreciate that the consortium has been pre-selected as all together we really concentrates innovation, know-how and motivation to build a strong and powerful platform. We are looking forward to participate actively in this major project which would allow us to enforce our innovative positioning and our strategy on the M2M market," said Philippe Bessaguet, iQsim's CEO.
According to Laurent Lhermitte, vice-president (sales & marketing) of iQsim, "It is a real opportunity for the company to leverage business and technology partnerships within M2M market space. We are pleased to bring our knowledge to the Plateforme Telecom."
