“This partnership combines our field proven Real-Time Telecom Expense Management SaaS solution with Sixnet’s (News - Alert) wireless gateways and routers to offer customers a rugged self-managed cost control tool,” said Jaan Leemet, CTO at Anomalous Networks, in a press release. “The combined solution automatically detects costly telecom events such as projected plan overages, international roaming, off-hour usage, device inactivity and other atypical trends to provide greater network insight, security and cost containment.”

The Anomalous’ R-TEM solution, working in conjunction with Sixnet wireless gateways and routers, collects cellular data usage directly from the hardened modems. Also, the solution, by offering a web interface for local stats and a centralized portal view, tracks modem usage versus the carrier plan purchased, captures misbehaving devices and time-stamps large data transfers. The customers, through this are allowed to:

  • Reduce telecom costs via real-time preventative alerting, reporting and plan optimization
  • Gain greater insight into network usage to enable better telecom budget management
  • Increase security through anomaly detection and alerting

“Sixnet provides industrial hardware solutions that are designed for a wide range of applications,” said Michael Ramsay, CSO at Sixnet, in a statement. “Integrating Anomalous’ telecom expense management with our wireless offerings enables customers to track and manage data usage.”

For a wide range of markets and applications such as power substations, water treatment, oil & gas, military, maritime, transportation and video security and monitoring, Sixnet’s comprehensive portfolio of M2M and mobile connectivity solutions has been designed.

The commercial customers, through Sixnet are also offered with EnterprisePro, QuicKonnect and ATM Cellular Routers with kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, lottery machines, landline backup, remote monitoring and control, fleet management, field service vehicles, ATM machines and other applications.
