For the second consecutive year, PROCON, a global leader in mobile resource management solutions, has received an award from T-Mobile (News - Alert). The award was presented at the 2010 M2M summit held in Miami, Florida.
The Big Kahuna Award was in recognition of the vision, innovation, leadership and accelerated growth shown by PROCON in the M2M industry, particularly in the sub-prime asset tracking and fleet management segments.
In 2009, ProconGPS, received the Maverick award from T-Mobile for its innovation and accelerated growth in the sub-prime, or "Buy Here, Pay Here" automotive industry.
John Horn, national director, M2M, at T-Mobile USA said that the Big Kahuna Award recognized PROCON's position as a leading provider in the M2M industry. He also added that PROCON continued to demonstrate exceptional vision and innovation year after year.
Tim Welch, CEO for ProconGPS, Inc. was delighted with the recognition from T-Mobile, and said that the honor conferred on the company spoke volumes for itself. It not only depicted the value of the company's sub-prime asset and fleet tracking products that were delivered to customers, but was testimony to the innovation that PROCON was offering the industry.
PROCON, headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, offers solutions for government, automotive, consumer and commercial applications and currently has more than 450,000 units in use throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
In a related news release, ProconGPS, Inc. announced the launch of its latest GPS tracking device named THE SHUTTLE. This revolutionary new GPS tracking device is the first of its size in this industry that combines a hypersensitive antenna, lithium back-up battery, and an optional warning buzzer all inside a 2.4”x 1.8” housing that is only .75” thick.
