The U.K.’s remote internet service provider Arkessa has appointed Polly Marsh to its customer service team in a bid to “move closer to customers.”

Marsh joins Arkessa as customer service and operations assistant, and her appointment, according to the company, will bolster its ongoing mission to give customers the best service available from any M2M operator.

Before joining Arkessa, Marsh worked for a fulfilment company’s customer service department as a client co-coordinator.

“With Polly’s help we will continue to become the world leader, offering an experience to our customers that steps far beyond the industry norm,” said Ian Orrock, chairman and CEO of Arkessa.

Arkessa uses Internet technology over 2G and 3G mobile phone networks to link one with the another, and its M2M service is designed to enable companies to offer services to end users by virtue of being able to manage, control and monitor equipment and process remotely.

The company was formed in 2009 from a management buyout of the M2M division of Vianet, a company based in Scotland. The new venture now has offices in Cambridge and Bishop’s Stortford.

Arkessa recently partnered with KDDI (News - Alert) Telehouse and completed the construction of the Ark, a central hub for advanced wireless telecoms networks where operators are offered with data management, processing and switching facilities.

The Ark also provides a highly secure home for all data and information management systems and a secure and resilient platform for mission critical IT systems.
