More than a billion computer remote management and monitoring devices, sensors and apps that are interconnected via the internet can now be enabled using the Alertcaster service with the system and people that monitor those devices through voice, SMS text and e-mail alerts. Examples of the M2M devices include sensors that monitor refrigeration units at restaurants, device heating units in office buildings, smart meters devices in the utility industry, medical equipment device monitoring, systems that monitor sump pumps in a vacation house as well as home or business security system devices. From applications that monitor devices, M2M systems, sensors and secure enterprise installations developers can now bring a new feature set to their work.”

Few of the highlights of the Alertcaster services include sending instant multiple alerts, easy dashboard for alert management, simple integration for developers with support for iPhone (News - Alert), Android, .NET, Linux, IBM etc as well as developer API for device and application connectivity. Developers can now easily activate, deploy Alertcaster service for monitoring purpose by customizing messages, setting up contact lists, adding new features, all of which is accomplished with minimum effort.

Alertcaster service is offered at three levels as per developers needs with the basic service available for free that includes a fully functional API and dashboard with the ability to send alerts (SMS or email) to one person.
