Airbiquity’s Mobile Integration solution has been selected by various automotive companies including Bosch, the company announced. Te solution connects a consumer’s mobile device and Choreo, Airbiquity’s cloud-based platform for global connected vehicle services delivery. Apart from supporting all data transport types, which guarantees the widest possible market coverage for connected vehicle solutions, Airbiquity’s service delivery platform’s open, flexible architecture also supports expansion for future services.

“Bosch is a true-market innovator when it comes to providing easy-to-operate, multimedia systems for leading automakers. We are proud to partner with such a highly-respected global technology and services leader,” said David Jumpa, senior vice president of global business development for Airbiquity, in a press release. “By partnering with Airbiquity, Bosch will now be equipped to deliver convenient connected services to its automobile manufacturer customers, meeting consumer demand for quick and simple access to information.”

To integrate the connected vehicle into the consumer’s digital lifestyle, the Mobile Integration solution also provides a comprehensive subscriber service management framework, including web, mobile web, and smartphone apps. The Bosch Group comprises Robert Bosch GmbH and its more than 300 subsidiaries and regional companies in over 60 countries. Offering connected vehicle services in 17 countries throughout North America, Europe and Russia, both Bosch and Airbiquity are already working to deliver an in-car system for its first joint customer.

In October 2008, the company released the latest version of its patented in-band modem – called aqLink 5. The new modem features enhanced speeds up to four times faster than its previous versions. The modem also features instantaneous switching between voice and data during the same call. The modem supports protocols used in telematics applications, including full duplex, half duplex and simplex modes, the company said.
