Maestro Wireless Solutions, Telenor Connexion Form M2M Partnership


Maestro Wireless Solutions, a subsidiary of the Fargo Telecom Group based in Hong Kong and provider of wireless solutions and industrial integration services, announced a partnership with Telenor (News - Alert) Connexion, which provides connectivity solutions for business and life critical applications, to address machine-to-machine (M2M) market needs.

Under this agreement, Telenor Connexion will provide embedded connectivity solutions to Maestro Wireless Solutions’ comprehensive portfolio of wireless industrial modems and integration services for the M2M markets, company officials said.

Telenor Connexion offers world-class connectivity solutions through significant coverage area and easily integrated systems. These solutions enable Maestro Wireless Solutions to significantly enhance its extensive portfolio and services adapted to those needs, according to Bertrand Goubault, general manager at Maestro Wireless Solutions.

“We are delighted over the partnership,” Thomas Strandin, vice president of sales APAC at Telenor Connexion, in a statement. “Together we can offer complete and highly reliable wireless solutions with a global reach. Like us, Maestro Wireless Solutions applies more than 10 years experience and know-how of M2M communication.”

Maestro Wireless is entirely focused on the evolution of the M2M market and wireless technologies worldwide, Strandin added. “In addition, with operations in Asia, Europe and the United States their footprint matches ours.”

As of today, over 350,000 Maestro modems have been deployed in more than 40 countries worldwide. 

Recently Maestro Wireless Solutions announced the acquisition of the GPS receiver assets of Vincotech. This acquisition added further GPS modules to the Maestro Wireless Solutions product family.
