Camgian Selects ORBCOMM to Provide Satellite M2M Communications Service


Camgian Microsystems Corporation opted for ORBCOMM to provide a global communications platform for Quantum, its industrial asset monitoring solution. ORBCOMM (News - Alert) Inc is a global satellite data communications company focusing on two-way Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications.

Being a wireless industrial operations intelligence platform, Quantum (News - Alert) supports the seamless integration of local area sensor networks, satellite communications and back-office analytics software for monitoring remote fixed and mobile assets. Camgian’s customers, by using ORBCOMM’s global network will have access to timely and accurate asset intelligence, allowing for enhanced logistics operations and supply chain efficiencies.

The partnership relation between Camgian and ORBCOMM marks the company’s entrance into the industrial market where it is leveraging Quantum to ensure environmentally safe management and disposal of large volume waste oil products.

In related news, ORBCOMM Inc., a global satellite data communications company focusing on two-way Machine-to-Machine communications and leading provider of space-based Automatic Identification System services, has commissioned the South African Gateway (News - Alert) Earth Station into operation.
