M2M: Voltaire Products to Reach German Markets via Atlantik


Voltaire Ltd., a provider of scale-out data center fabrics, has inked an agreement with Atlantik Systems for the distribution of its products in Germany. In addition, Atlantik Systems has joined Voltaire’s (News - Alert) adVantage Partner Program.

Atlantik Systeme distributes products from suppliers in the network and communication industry. It serves the industry needs in network infrastructure providing Ethernet switching / routing; for data centers concerning infiniband, 10GIG Ethernet switching and also M2M communication

It is expected that this agreement will make available Voltaire’s complete portfolio of 10 gigabit Ethernet and InfiniBand switching platforms and management and application acceleration software in the German market. 

In a release, Patrick Guay, executive vice president global sales and general manager for Voltaire, said, “We are pleased to enter into a distribution agreement with Atlantik Systeme in Germany. Atlantik Systeme’s solid reputation in technology product distribution and network design consulting made them a fitting partner and extension of our global sales team.”“Voltaire solutions deliver on the new networking requirements of scale-out, cloud and virtualized data centers,” said Ottmar Flach, chief executive officer, Atlantik Networxx AG. 

Flach added that considering data center networks, close cooperation with customers becomes critical in order to improve operational efficiency and to maximize application performance besides finding new ways to optimize the network.

Voltaire’s switches and unique software solutions enable this by optimizing the performance with low power consumption and ultra-low latency to help customers operate efficiently and be highly competitive.

“We are pleased to be adding Voltaire products to our line card,” Flach stated.

Voltaire provides scale-out computing fabrics for data centers, high-performance computing and cloud environments. Its family of server and storage fabric switches and advanced management software improve performance of mission-critical applications, increasing efficiency and reducing costs through infrastructure consolidation and lower power consumption.
