A specialist in the field of ePRO, invivodata is trusted for its proven expertise in capturing data of the highest integrity, and delivering of over 95 percent protocol compliance – regardless of a patient's technological experience or age. The partnership enables invivodata to provide a comprehensive range of mobile network solutions, controlled and managed by their SIMpro middleware platform. SIMpro middleware platform has been designed to reduce data misuse, its maker noted in the release.

Wireless technology has proved itself to be more resilient and cost-effective than that of wired connections. In clinical trials secure data transfer is prerequisite to the success of valid data retrieval and wireless connectivity ensures just that. This led invivodata rope on to Wireless Logic for a suite of tailored services and solutions. This enabled invivodata overcome challenges relating to the management of their SIM estate. Challenges included:

  • Multiple bills on a month by month basis.
  • Occasional user misuse of the data SIM card resulting in extraordinarily high costs.
  • Incumbent providers limited to providing a singular network.
  • Recipients of one level of customer service, with an inability to respond quickly to network problems – often jeopardizing the effectiveness of the ePRO solution.
  • Limitations to provide new connectivity solutions to locations not covered by their existing coverage.
  • Wireless Logic’s solutions delivered a one-stop connectivity platform across multiple mobile networks and offered the following advantages.
  • The SIM estate is now managed via a bespoke platform based upon Wireless Logic's SIMpro middleware, empowering invivodata to have full access to and control of their entire SIM estate.
  • SIMpro delivers real-time reports on individual SIM actions, pinpointing individual usage, usage trends, and identifying unusual activity which might have previously led to fraudulent data usage.
  • Connectivity reach is much improved with Wireless Logic providing a choice of national and international networks including a number of roaming SIM options.

invivodata is managed by a dedicated account management team who can respond rapidly to client requirements and any network issues. A Service Level Agreement ensures agreed response times. Granular billing on one monthly invoice significantly reduces invivodata's administration.

In the release, co-founder and sales and marketing director Philip Cole explained: “Healthcare is one of the key areas of mobile technology investment within the M2M sector. Partnering invivodata as the global leader in ePRO puts Wireless Logic at the forefront of wireless monitoring in medical research. Our 'one window' platform is well-suited to the complexities of a worldwide multi-network mobile technology solution.”

In a statement, Consultant for Wireless Logic Craig Hollingworth noted that the partnership with Wireless Logic enabled the company to deliver value at every stage of the relationship. Through the alliance with the M2M connectivity provider, the ePRO provider is now able to provide improved data tariffs with the benefits of operating fixed IP over the company’s secure private APN. For invivodata, this eliminated the risks associated with running important clinical trials across the public network, Hollingworth concluded.

Few months back, Invivodata said in a statement that Aris Global, a leading provider of software solutions for the life sciences industry selected invivodata as its preferred partner for ePRO solutions.
