LIGATT Security International, a company specializing in cyber security solutions, revealed that Apple (News
- Alert) has approved their newest iPhone application, LocatePC Mobile Tracker, for their App store.
As stated, LocatePC Mobile Tracker allows a person to track their stolen or lost computer from a secure website directly from their iPhone (News - Alert), and shortly, the iPad.
"We are so proud to say that we are the 1st in the world to allow a person to track a computer right from their cell phone," Gregory Evans, chief executive officer at LIGATT Security, said in a statement.
"This is a great accomplishment for LIGATT Security," Evans added.
LIGATT is of the opinion that currently, most software manufactures of stolen computer recovery software only provide their customers the option to place a phone call to report a computer stolen, and then proceed to track that stolen device. LIGATT’s solution is said to allow a person to track a computer right from their cell phone.
LIGATT’s Security's response team is now made available 24/7 for their customers who report a lost or stolen computer.
In addition to this, the company noted that it also offers two additional convenient ways a customer can maintain the status of their lost or stolen device. The 1st option is to login to the secure LocatePC site where the customer will have access to utilize all the features of LocatePC, including the option to track the computer. With the 2nd option, the customer will have the capability to track their lost or stolen computer from their iPhone or iPad using LocatePC Mobile Tracker.
Using the free LocatePC Mobile Tracker, a customer will have the ability to track unlimited computers on one account directly from their iPhone; shutdown the computer while the thief still has it; turn on their computer camera and take snaps shots of the thief; turn on a keylogger and record everything the thief types; send a message to their computer screen of whatever they would like, such as "please return my computer".
LIGATT’s statement also revealed that the iPad version of LocatePC Mobile Tracker will be made available from Jan. 15.
In related news, LIGATT announced that Jonathan Jones has been named Director of Investor Relations/Marketing. As mentioned, Jones will serve as Director of Investor Relations with the objective of delivering accurate, timely data to LIGATT stakeholders, and upholding the level of integrity and transparency associated with the LIGATT brand.
