Toyota Selects Tweddle Group as Tier 1 Service Provider


Toyota has selected Tweddle Group, a provider of owner communications, technology and supply chain solutions for automotive OEMs, as Tier 1 connected services provider for Entune.

Toyota Entune leverages the customer’s mobile phone to create a rich in-vehicle experience that offers fully integrated and upgradeable entertainment, navigation, and information services.

Tweddle Group has partnered with market leaders to develop the Toyota Entune multimedia system over the last few months. Toyota Entune was honored with 2 prestigious awards by Popular Mechanics as Editor’s Choice Gadget and Cnet Best of CES (News - Alert) as a result of working closely with its partners. These awards acknowledge Tweddle’s achievements as key supplier for the Toyota Entune system, the company has stated in a press release.

We are pleased that Tweddle’s connected services platform and collaborative integration with DENSO (News - Alert) and Harman helped Toyota reach this major milestone,” says Andrew Tweddle, CEO of Tweddle Group. “We also appreciate the collective efforts of our partners and suppliers that helped make Toyota Entune a winner at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show,” continued Andrew Tweddle in a company press release.

There is an increased need for key partnerships as the current challenging market situations for the automotive industry along with consumer demands to integrate applications in the car. To collaboratively integrate this connected services solution for Toyota, Tweddle Group, DENSO, and Harman Becker combined efforts as Tier 1 supplier of Entune. Tweddle Group has aggregated key partners and service providers such as Bing, iHeart Radio, INRIX traffic, Movietickets.com, Opentable, and Pandora, along with proven voice recognition technologies from Nuance (News - Alert) and Voice Box Technologies.

In April 2009, UIEvolution, a software solutions company, partnered with Tweddle Group to develop personalized user experiences for vehicle owners through their mobile devices. The companies established UIE Automotive to extend its myCar application for the next generation of automotive telematics and mobile services. UIEvolution’s (News - Alert) industry leading software services and platform connect the dynamic experience users have come to expect on their mobile devices.
