M2M Data Corporation has acquired operating assets of Implicit Monitoring Solutions.
Officials with M2M Data Corporation said that with the acquisition of the flagship Intellisite application and Right Smart hardware, the foremost oil and gas electronic flow meter (EFM) monitoring solution is now part of M2M Data Corporation, the industry-leading compression monitoring service.
The move increases M2M's monitored assets by more than 25 percent.
"In addition to expanding product and service offerings, merging the two companies' brings decades of industry experience and knowledge together," said G.C. "Scooter" Beachum III, president of Implicit Monitoring Solutions, in a statement.
G.C. "Scooter" Beachum III said that the combined Implicit and M2M solution-set is unmatched in the industry for product and service breadth as well as the most reliable communication options in the industry.
"Customers of both companies will certainly benefit," said Jason Weinberger, vice president of strategy and business development of M2M Data Corp.
Weinberger said that Intellisite is the “800-pound gorilla in monitoring flow meters” -- there's not a better solution out there -- and M2M RMS is far and away the leader in monitoring compressors. Bringing the two solutions under one roof is good for the industry and good for the customers, he said.
According to company officials, Intellisite offers the industry's leading Web-based remote monitoring service for electronic flow meters (EFM) and flow computers, helping operators and managers efficiently and economically manage their production and performance.
Company officials said that with the acquisition of Implicit, M2M customers will have Best Path Communication options of radio, cellular or satellite, for the most reliable and effective way to capture remote asset data as well as augment existing SCADA deployments.
"We're measuring every move we make in this transaction and the subsequent transition by asking the question 'will it benefit our customers?'" said Weinberger.
"We're confident that the answer to the question today and moving into tomorrow is a resounding 'yes' and look forward to serving Implicit customers," he said
