Trilliant And KORE Telematics Form Strategic Partnership


Trilliant Incorporated, a leading Smart Grid communications provider, has recently announced that the company has formed a strategic partnership with KORE Telematics, in order to enable GSM and CDMA data services for Trilliant’s (News - Alert) CellReader and CellGateway Solutions through KORE Telematics. The collaboration will ensure that customers can quickly and cost-effectively activate and deploy Trilliant’s CellReader and CellGateway meter communication solution across Tier 1 GSM and CDMA networks, also, KORE will obtain device approvals for the CellReader under its One-Stop Device Accreditation Program. KORE Telematics is the world's largest digital wireless services provider specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications.

Trilliant has been recognized by the industry as a leader delivering Smart Grid solutions that enhance energy efficiency, utility operations, and renewable resource integration since 2003. The CellReader solution has been designed to install under-the-glass solid-state C&I electric meters and provides two-way IP based communications over digital cellular networks, while the CellGateway acts as an external communications device that connects to a variety of C&I electric, gas, and water meters via standard serial communications.

KORE Telematics focuses on accelerating and enabling M2M based innovations, which include energy management solutions such as Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI). KORE Telematics offers reliable, cost-effective wireless backhaul solutions for utilities through its carrier-grade, high availability network.

In a release, Arnie Liepa, senior vice president of channel businesses at Trilliant said that, "We are looking forward to joining forces with KORE. Their experience in GSM and CDMA network technology and our expertise in C&I meters means that utility customers will benefit from stronger integration, faster certification and streamlined support services."
