Numerex (News - Alert) offers continuous commitment to data confidentiality, integrity and availability which are critical factors for its customers' M2M business services, technology, and products used in the development and support of M2M solutions for the commercial and residential security, government, transportation, utilities healthcare, and financial services markets worldwide. Numerex is the first M2M service provider in North America to be recognized and receive the prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2005, better known as ISO 27001, information security-related certification.
The ISO 27001 is similar to the ISO 9001, except that it represents the paramount importance of information security. In a release, Stratton J. Nicolaides, chairman and CEO of Numerex said that, "Our focus on information security is well documented throughout the M2M industry.
