Herceg Network Inc., a leading provider of GPS tracking solutions, has recently announced the launch of Btracking, a GPS mobile management solution. Btracking has been designed to convert smartphones into GPS trackers, and provides increased visibility into the company’s mobile workforces, allowing them to manage better as well as monitor their off-site employees and assets during business hours. The solution was previously named BerryTracking and has been changed to the new and expanded Btracking solution. Earlier version of the service had been designed to support BlackBerry (News
- Alert) and Windows Mobile smartphones, while the newly rebranded service works well with Android and iPhone (News - Alert) devices as well.
Founded in 2009, Herceg Network launched its first GPS tracking solution to provide companies a better means of managing their mobile workforce. The idea was that the application once downloaded to a compatible smart device, will begin transmitting GPS data to Btracking’s servers. Then, through the Btracking Mapping Portal the information will be made available to businesses. Companies will be able to access real time and historical data including location, routes travelled, speed, zones entered and other related information. For less than USD $20 a month, the Btracking service works on a global scale and is available on a month to month subscription basis, and no additional hardware is required and there are no set up fees.
In a release, Stephen Montano, director of marketing and communications for Btracking said that, “We're thrilled to be able to offer Btracking across the full spectrum of smartphones. The growth of GPS enabled devices among mobile workers has been tremendous and is sure to continue to grow by all key indicators. Btracking lets our customers capitalize on that wireless investment. They don’t need to purchase and install additional hardware to take advantage of Btracking’s extensive mapping, messaging and reporting features.”
George Adamidis, vice president of client services for Btracking added that, “The market potential is phenomenal. Smartphone penetration rates are doubling year-over-year. We’re enabling new tiers of small and medium businesses, many of whom have never considered GPS solutions, to gain unprecedented visibility into their mobile workers with a simple download. Whether they’re in field services, sales or event marketing, Btracking gives our customers the confidence of knowing their mobile workers are where they need to be, whether it’s on a job site, with a customer, or on a route. The response has been tremendous.”
