In a company press release, the company announced that industry veteran Rake W. Jiang has joined the company as its new vice president of international sales.

Sixnet (News - Alert), which is currently undergoing international expansion, hopes that the experience of Jiang will significantly help in the company’s expansion process. In his new role, Jiang will focus on expanding the global reach of Sixnet’s broad portfolio of industrial-grade connectivity products and solutions, the company revealed in the release.

“Rake’s technology and international sales experience make him a strong addition to our management and sales teams, and he will play a key role in our continued global expansion. His extensive background in delivering revenue growth and securing strategic partnerships in both emerging and developed markets make him well-respected by clients and colleagues alike,” Sixnet’s executive vice president of industrial channel sales said in a statement.

In the span of his 20 years career, Jiang acquired hands-on experience in direct and channel sales, marketing and business development. During his stint with some of the world’s major blue-chip companies including Motorola (News - Alert), AT&T and Avaya/Lucent, Jiang enabled the companies to exceed sales and marketing goals.

Prior to joining Sixnet, Jiang was with Azalea Networks as VP and General Manager of International Sales and Global Strategic Alliances. In his role, Jiang delivered significant sales growth by winning high-profile deals worldwide. This reportedly helped the organization capture 74 percent market share in China.

A recipient of the North Star Award for International Marketing by CompuService Network Services, as well as the Award of Excellence for Quality Information Products by AT&T Global Information (News - Alert) Solutions, Jiang previously led both direct and indirect sales for the launch of Motorola’s Mesh Wireless Broadband products in the Asia Pacific region.

He also served as managing director for Asia Pacific at Fiberlink, a global provider of policy-based secure mobile workforce solutions. In this role, he drove aggressive revenue growth with large accounts such as FedEx, PepsiCo, Toshiba (News - Alert), Panasonic, Samsung and LG.

While serving as director of global accounts at UUNET, the Internet infrastructure division of MCI WorldCom (now Verizon Business (News - Alert)), Jiang oversaw sales of products and services for global accounts across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.

He is currently a member of the Society of Industry Leaders. Jiang holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, and an M.S. and B.S. in Software Engineering from Peking University in Beijing.

Back in January, Sixnet announced the availability of SixView Manager—flexible enterprise-class remote management software designed to increase productivity and reduce costs for organizations using Sixnet industrial-grade wireless routers.
