Evolving Systems, Inc, a provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and IP carrier market, has launched intelligent M2M Controller Solution.

Evolving Systems' (News - Alert) Intelligent M2M Controller solution draws on proven technology from the company's flagship Dynamic SIM Allocation solution, which allows operators to reduce costs, protect their networks, and grasp the growing opportunity in the fast-moving M2M space.

Intelligent M2M Controller, a dedicated machine-to-machine (M2M) solution for wireless service providers, provides efficiency, flexibility, minimal impact, protection, and open interface besides other such things.

"The M2M market is expected to ultimately be counted in billions, or even trillions, of M2M devices and connections," said Thad Dupper, chief executive officer at Evolving Systems, in a statement.

Dupper said that with rapid growth being forecast, service providers must act now to give themselves the best chance of maximizing profits and achieving significant market share.

"To address the key challenges, providers will need to throw off the shackles of legacy business infrastructures and establish specialized M2M infrastructure," said Dupper.

Dupper added that the Intelligent M2M Controller helps them to meet these needs. 

"Service providers need to be aware that in this new connected world, it is costly, inefficient and wasteful to treat all devices the same," Dupper said.

Dupper commented that the development of the market depends on Evolving System’s ability to stimulate innovation and support new business models. If service providers fail to embrace new business and technological approaches, they run the risk of stifling innovation and hampering the development of this hugely promising new market, Dupper added.

TMCnet in July reported that Evolving Systems had announced that a major Brazilian operator has selected the company's Dynamic SIM Allocation (DSA) solution to help streamline its SIM card supply chain logistics and optimize its telephone number inventory. A leading SIM manufacturer will jointly deliver the project. 

In order to comply with number utilization regulations imposed by ANATEL, Brazil's telecommunications regulator, the operator faced an urgent need to optimize its SIM card provisioning process in a very short time frame.

The operator carried out an industry-wide evaluation of solutions using functionality, flexibility and vendor experience as key selection criteria and, after a stringent RFP process, choseEvolving Systems' DSA solution.
