Runzheimer International (News - Alert) has entered into a partnership with ZoomSafer to provide leading edge safe driving solutions to corporate and government organizations.

"In a world dependent on mobile communications and messaging, organizations need a more formal approach for safe, legal and policy-compliant use of mobile phones," said Greg Harper, president of Runzheimer International, in a statement.

"Our partnership with ZoomSafer helps our customers develop and enforce mobile phone policies to promote safety and realize cost savings on insurance premiums, medical expenses, wage losses, and workers' compensation claims," said Harper.

While the use of mobile phones is critical to business productivity, when used while driving they put employees at risk and present businesses with liability issues. According to company officials, Runzheimer is “uniquely positioned” to help ZoomSafer reach a broader range of industries and government agencies.

"We look forward to helping our joint customers address the growing challenges associated with employee use of mobile phones while driving," said Matt Howard, founder and CEO of ZoomSafer.

Officials with Runzheimer International said that the company is offering very many solutions through its partnership with ZoomSafer including-FleetSafer Vision that is the world's first cloud-based, data mining service that integrates driver trip data with mobile device usage data and other information so fleet operators can measure and remediate risky driver behavior and reinforce good behavior.

Another such solution is FleetSafer Mobile, which is a patented enterprise application that detects when the user is driving and automatically puts the phone into safe drive mode.

While in safe drive mode, inbound alerts are suppressed and the phone's keypad and screen are locked to eliminate the dangerous temptation to text, email or dial while driving.

Additionally, ZoomSafer offers a variety of customizable and hands-free services so users can stay connected with friends, family and co-workers while driving.

Back in March Runzheimer International, the industry leader in employee mobility programs, had announced the availability of a unique new hosted software solution, CareViz.

CareViz is designed to enhance patient care for home care agencies through a Web-based schedule that makes it easy to match caregiver skills to patient needs, manage complex schedules and provide the most efficient driving routes for patient calls.

Unlike other scheduling solutions on the market today, CareViz provides greater flexibility to adapt to changes and the fastest route to increase time with patients, supported by full visibility for schedule administrators and caregivers.
