In an effort to address the changing needs of the Europe’s fast- growing M2M market, the Dutch-based M2M service provider, SIM Services, and the enterprise M2M solution provider Telenor (News - Alert) Connexion came together to develop a flexible and future proof solution.
According to the press release, the joint solution will combine Telenor Connexion’s SIM Services and a wireless connectivity solution, including SIM-card management tools as well as SIM Services’ M2M offering.
“SIM Services in-depth M2M know-how and knowledge of the local markets were the main reason for selecting them as a long-term partner to address the increasing business opportunities in Europe,” Marlene Häggström, head of Partner Management at Telenor Connexion noted in a statement.
The partnership will allow SIM Services to bring customized solutions to the European markets as well as in the Netherland’s market for multi-operator coverage.
As a result of this partnership, customers across Europe will get optimal connectivity at the right price.
“Our customers require a partner who can assist in combining the right hardware and software partners. Through this new partnership our customers benefit from optimal connectivity based on Telenor Connexion’s premium solution made possible by their M2M experience, and the proactive service awareness they exemplify. SIM Services is more than a reseller, we have the market insight to find the right solution for the customers at the right price,” Rutger Stekelenburg, CEO of SIM Services, stated in the release.
The partnership, which is effective from May first 2011 is expected to enable both partners to expand their market shares.
