AT&T (News
- Alert) has enhanced its portfolio of fleet management solutions with the announcement of three mobile transportation and dispatch management applications from Complete Innovations and Xata Corporation.
According to a release, these services are available directly from AT&T, and can perform a range of activities such as streamline operations, optimize fleet and mobile workforce performance and facilitate fleet operators' adherence with the CSA 2010 (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) initiative.
Businesses can leverage these new applications to get valuable insight into fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance needs, asset location and more.
These services will also help drivers find destinations more easily to deliver products on time.
"With nearly 12 years' experience in providing GPS fleet tracking and mobile workforce solutions, we are confident that businesses across a variety of industries will embrace the benefits of Courier Complete and Fleet Complete from AT&T," said Tony Lourakis, CEO, Complete Innovations. "We are thrilled to launch these two mobile workforce and fleet management applications on the AT&T network."
"The impact of CSA on a fleet's operations is enormous," said David Gagne, Chief Operating Officer of Xata. "In fact, the FMCSA estimates that 47.9 percent of carriers that received satisfactory ratings during the past five years would fail inspections under the new rules. Xata Turnpike from AT&T is a simple and affordable way for companies and drivers to collect, see, sort and use driver and vehicle data to improve safety and compliance. And best of all, they can use their existing AT&T-enabled cell phones, smartphones and tablet computers."
