Numerex (News - Alert) is a member of two gold Value Chain Award winning teams recognized during the recent Connected World Conference.
Numerex, a single source provider of secure machine-to-machine (M2M) products and services, notes that the first award was won in the Hospitality category.
Three companies- EDC Technologies, Numerex and ClearConnex teamed to provide a cost effective method of compiling energy usage data from various locations in order to optimize the amount of energy used in very large hot water systems.
Collaboration of these three partners created a flexible and robust platform, which effectively generates actionable data.
Numerex won the second award in the Supply Chain and Logistics category. The company notes that it partnered with iGPS Company, operator of a large pallet rental service providing plastic pallets with embedded RFID tags, and Enfora, Inc. a Novatel Wireless (News
- Alert) company, to provide global monitoring of pallets using the Numerex WorldPass global network service and Enfora's Spider AT asset tag (News - Alert).
For this collaboraton, Numerex designed a custom offering, specific to iGPS's business, and this allowed iGPS to increase visibility into its supply chain around the world.
