Mopar EVTS Technology Enhances Vehicle-Tracking


Mopar announced that its Electronic Vehicle Tracking System or EVTS innovation combines multiple mobile-to-mobile (M2M) technologies to benefit customers.

According to company sources, the new EVTS vehicle-tracking system is capable of sending the owner an alert if the vehicle is being driven very fast or away from set location parameters.

In a release Peggy Smedley, editorial director of Connected World magazine said, “With Mopar EVTS, the consumer has the ability to instantly track a stolen vehicle or receive excessive-speed and parameter text alerts. This thoughtful, innovative technology really sets this feature apart in the marketplace.”

The Mopar EVTS is available in three packages, namely Base, Silver and Gold. The Base plan comprises of a GPS stolen-vehicle locator, real-time GPS stolen-vehicle tracking and a $1,000 theft-protection warranty. Also the system is transferable and upgradeable.

The Silver plan offers greater protection and service. It includes “Security Fence,” that allows owners to set speed and distance parameters for their vehicles. In case the set parameters are exceeded, a text alert is sent to the EVTS registered owner. It also features arrival/departure notification, historic trace maps of a vehicle’s past locations, 24/7 emergency-service dispatch, automatic theft notification, online tracking and OnCall, and an on-board panic button, revealed company sources.

Further enhanced is the Gold plan which covers all the features in the Silver package plus unlimited online tracking and a full concierge service. This lets vehicle owners to receive directions, make reservations and get assistance via the EVTS registered owner’s cell phone.

Commenting on the success of the company’s innovative solution in vehicle tracking Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar added, “We will continue to create, develop and quality-test features that support and add value to our Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat brands.”

In related news Mopar announced that its Ram Runner kit offers performance on par with off-road race trucks. The suspension and shocks included in the Mopar Ram Runner kit are superior and are attractively styled.
