Southwest Airlines Cargo, operating over 3,400 flights every day, provides rapid and protected delivery of high-value consignments inclusive of temperature sensitive objects such as medical and pharmaceutical goods. Companies shipping merchandise with Southwest will now be able to  achieve complete chain-of-custody and quality assurance tracking on Southwest flights by making use of OnAsset's SENTRY technology,.

In a release, Director of Cargo Sales & Marketing for Southwest Airlines, Wally Devereaux, said that "We have worked with OnAsset for more than a year to evaluate their technology and are happy to accept the GPS device within our Customer's shipments. Our first and foremost objective with our customers is to provide excellent service and we believe the visibility to cargo shipments provided by the SENTRY FlightSafe device fits within our core objectives."

The SENTRY 400 is an extremely sophisticated wireless, personal electronic device (PED) that includes multiple sensors such as temperature, pressure, humidity, shock, vibration and location with added patented intelligence, FlightSafe. This advanced feature enables the device to use multiple methods of sensing and proprietary logic to function with the essential intelligence to automatically suppress its wireless radios to an "off" mode, guaranteeing safe and FAA compliant operation throughout the flight. Intelligent radio suppression is unique to SENTRY, and is a patented feature thus making it the solitary wireless device able to turn its radio on and off without human involvement.

SENTRY has completed evaluations by Southwest's Maintenance; Flight Operations; Safety and Security; Ground Operations; and Engineering Teams. It has also satisfied stringent testing requirements by an independent laboratory and per the FAA, satisfies all current regulatory requirements.

President and CEO of OnAsset Intelligence, Adam Crossno, said that "Many companies that we work with that utilize SENTRY for ground operations also have air operations and ship with Southwest Airlines today. We are thrilled to enable those customers to now ship SENTRY FlightSafe with Southwest Airlines Cargo making the SENTRY a single device platform available for all modes of freight, including ground, ocean, and air."

Southwest Airlines continues to distinguish itself from all other low-fare carriers - offering a dependable product with excellent Customer Service. It is the country’s principal carrier in terms of originating domestic passengers boarded and has lately acquired AirTran Airways, to make it a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwest Airlines Co.
