Numerex Corp., a leading single source provider of secure machine-to-machine (M2M) products and services today (August 4, 2011) announced a new partner program. The credit-based program is designed to allow Numerex (News - Alert) network technology to be embedded in original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) solutions thereby reducing the prices of their smart devices, modules, and modems.
How OEMs can get with the program
The Rebate Program for M2M solutions partners gives OEMs a pass-through credit offered by Numerex when sold in conjunction with Numerex network services. OEM customers activating devices on the Numerex wireless network will immediately receive a one-time activation credit.
Numerex partners with M2M hardware, network and application leaders on solutions that integrate wirelessly-connected tracking and monitoring applications. Numerex services include: hardware and network certification, application development, hosting, distribution, fulfillment and on-going business management support in order to simplify and optimize its customers' current business practices.
Michael Marett, Chief Operating Officer of Numerex, in the press release announcing the new program, states that, "As Numerex develops an increasing number of integrated relationships with its strategic partners, it makes sense to accompany this effort with incentives which benefit both the supply chain and the end user."
Numerex says the program is being offered to all its OEM hardware partners and will be supported by promotional initiatives. As a means to build a strong integrated ecosystem as well as prime the demand pump, incenting partners and through them consumers is a go-to-market model that makes sense.
