Symphony Services, a provider of software and product engineering services, announced partnership with SensorLogic (News - Alert), a provider of cloud-based platforms for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications, to speed up development and deployment of enterprise M2M applications.
Their collaboration enables the companies to deliver a combination of technologies and services to enterprise users. Leveraging their combined services, enterprise customers can create and deploy custom, scalable M2M applications in significantly less time and lower costs than other approaches.
"Executives responsible for driving new revenues or re-inventing their companies' business models with managed services can plainly see the power of M2M," said Paul Henderson, vice president of Marketing and Product Management for SensorLogic, in a statement. "Most have a clear vision of what they want to accomplish, but many struggle to get where they want to be within available budgets and market windows.
The association is expected to accelerate the deployment and optimize the performance of business-critical applications such as remote monitoring of wind turbines, cell tower infrastructure, medical devices, etc.
"Successful development of an enterprise-class M2M initiative requires a group of people with diverse technical skills and experience," said Sumit Chauhan, vice president and general manager, Embedded & Telecom Services.
"Many companies do not have in-house staff members who fit the bill, so their M2M initiatives get stalled. Symphony Services has extensive experience in M2M engineering and knowledge of the SensorLogic Platform," Chauhan added.
The agreement also enables both companies to conduct a range of sales, business development and marketing activities.
Recently, Symphony Services announced that market research firm Gartner positioned Symphony as one of the top companies in the Telecom Expense Management Magic Quadrant, Worldwide 2010. The evaluation for Magic Quadrant position is based on a company’s completeness of vision and ability to execute.
