In an effort to reduce costs and increase efficiency to boost profitability, TMW Systems, the provider of enterprise software to transportation and logistics companies, signed an agreement with ProMiles Software Development Corporation, which develops various types of desktop and Web applications.
The agreement will offer an online fuel tax reporting and automation service called TMW Fuel Tax Online that is powered by ProMiles and will be available to all existing customers of TMW software that are required to file IFTA quarterly tax reports for their fleet operations.
The application was on display at the ProMiles booth at the TMW TransForum 2011 User Group Conference and Exhibition from September 18th-21st at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Resort in Dallas.
Commenting on the agreement, Dave Mook, COO of TMW Systems, said in a press release, “Our goal is to expand the integrated business options available to them from TMW Systems in order to streamline their technology sourcing and reduce their overall costs of ownership in relation to business value provided.”
This SaaS (News

Tony Stronchek, President and CEO, ProMiles, said in a statement, “We have enjoyed working with TMW Systems for many years. They recognize that most trucking companies operate with pretty slim margins and are always looking for new ways to reduce administrative costs while maintaining important compliance procedures.”
In another news story, TMW Systems, Inc. announced that its popular mobile communications software for smartphones D2Link, is now available for the Android (News - Alert) platform on a group of certified devices. This enables carriers to communicate digitally with their drivers for trip status and load instructions as well as to support shipment track and trace capabilities.
