An alliance has been formed between SensorLogic (News - Alert) Inc. and ACELYNK. Companies conducting high-volumes of international trade will be offered the first-of-its-kind, smart shipment tracking and customer compliance offering through this alliance. Cloud-based platforms for machine-to-machine application development are provided by SensorLogic. ACELYNK is a top provider of Web-based applications for international shipping and customs management.
The SensorLogic Service Delivery Platform will be now used by ACELYNK. An open, cloud-based solution for import and export shipment monitoring and tracking will be developed by ACELYNK using the SensorLogic Platform. The location and status of shipments can be now precisely tracked by the ACELYNK solution. Instrumentation, location tracking and reporting on shipments will be enabled by the APIs in the SensorLogic Platform. Advanced devices, a range of location-based services, wireless networks and other technologies will be utilized for the same.
The Customs filing, clearing process and status messages will be also combined by the ACELYNK solution. Anytime, anywhere access to complete shipment information will be provided by ACELYNK solution to Customs brokers and importers. The solution’s cloud-based architecture will be used for the same.
In a release, Matthew Fotouhi, President and CEO of ACELYNK, said, "What's unique about the solution we're building is its ability to create a complete, virtual representation of customers' shipments, and track international shipments on an end-to-end basis. These virtual shipments -- including data about location, Customs processing status, and other information -- exist completely in the cloud."
According to Fotouhi, as those goods move through their transit routes, they are automatically updated to be in sync with the actual physical shipments. Unprecedented visibility and greatly enhanced management capabilities will be delivered by the company’s solution.
