Encore Networks (News - Alert), a provider of IP+Legacy Virtual Private Network (VPN) routers for converged and broadband solutions for M2M, SCADA, Smart Grid, AMR/AMI and industrial applications, announced its partnership with Digital Highway Wireless Solutions, a Machine-to-Machine (M2M) integrator and distributor.
The strategic partnership deal will enable DH Solutions to sell, engineer and service Encore's entire BANDIT line of rugged routers with emphasis on the C2C, Encore's low cost, cellular replacement of Plain Old Telephone Services (POTS) copper line based M2M applications.
The C2C provides IP interworking capabilities to an analog modem interface in a single box solution and is available in both an industrial, ruggedized version and a mass market commercial model.
"By adding Encore products, and the C2C in particular, to our M2M solutions, we can offer customers a way to preserve their existing CPE and eliminate their dependence on high cost analog copper lines, all while moving to a lower cost, all IP wireless cellular infrastructure," said Brian Rosema, VP Sales and Marketing of DH Solutions, in a statement.
The partnership enables DH Solutions to expand its customer base by addressing and upgrading legacy M2M applications for all the markets. DH will also utilize the partnership to address demands from the existing ATM and manufacturing verticals.
