The company claimed that years of experience in wireless data and machine to machine (M2M) infrastructures have given it a very unique insight to a total wireless solution and using it the company has developed and refined its extensive knowledge of how networks and devices function across a number of system layers. Its wireless solution has been tweaked to not only be comprised of the device itself, but includes what, where, and how the device communicates within the end-to-end architecture.

The new N4A CMS 3.0 is a comprehensive Service Delivery Platform (SDP) with a new future-proof architecture designed to easily sit in a cloud, hosted or on-premise at the enterprise providing business model flexibility and easy integration with existing enterprise applications and IT systems.

Surrounding the core Business Intelligence Logic, Novatel’s N4A Communications and Management Software platform supposedly incorporates various standards-based APIs into both the embedded and server-side architectures. The new version of the platform offers an enterprise-grade SDP that can enable vertical market solutions and which is scalable to support customers ranging from small enterprises to tier-one carriers.

Officials with the company commented that many of their enterprise CMS customers have chosen N4A CMS for their unique approach and ease of on-premise integration into existing application and IT systems. Irrespective of customers’ preference for on-premise server deployment or a cloud based option, the new N4A CMS 3.0 platform supports both and is the basis for tomorrow's M2M services delivery and application management platform.

Novatel asserted that some of the standards-based services and tools in the platform include: collect and process data from multiple wireless devices; integrate data collected into existing applications and IT systems; manage wireless device provisioning, deployment and updating; secure, remote access to control and manage assets; custom report and map assets; and more.

In other news, with the emergence of key technologies and developments shaping the new generation of mobile services, Novatel Wireless and Bell recently launched the 4G LTE (News - Alert) Novatel Wireless U679 Turbo Stick (also known as the Ovation(TM) MC 679 USB modem) on Bell Mobility's new 4G LTE network.
