M2M connectivity and SIM management for Geotab will be now supported by RACO Wireless. An announcement in this regard has been made by RACO Wireless, the key machine-to-machine (M2M) partner and enabler powered by T-Mobile (News
- Alert). Customers are provided tools and data by the end-to-end solutions from Geotab. Apart from improving efficiencies and reducing waste, these tools and data help customers to build service levels and increase revenues from their fleets.
The telematics fleet management products offered by Geotab to its customers are supported by M2M connectivity. Insurance-related and other bottom line savings are delivered to its customers. Apart from enhancing driver productivity and safety, operating costs are reduced for the customers.
For nearly 10 years, the preferred M2M provider for T-Mobile has been RACO Wireless. As part of T-Mobile’s M2M business, Geotab has worked with the RACO Wireless for many years. Geotab’s M2M support will now migrate to RACO Wireless.
In a release, Colin Sutherland, VP of sales at Geotab said, “We look forward to once again working with the highly experienced team of M2M professionals at RACO Wireless, most of which helped us support many of our pioneering efforts in telematics when they worked with us previously as T-Mobile executives.”
According to Sutherland, amazing flexibility and speed is offered by RACO Wireless to its customers while developing and implementing M2M applications. The company is confident that it will be able to quickly adapt itself to meet the needs of the customers.
According to John Horn who is the president of RACO Wireless, Geotab plays the role of a pioneer in fleet-tracking and location-based services. A significant impact in the fast-growing market for commercially insured and self-insured fleet is therefore ensured for the company.
Horn said, “In fact, Geotab has already been instrumental in quantifying the bottom line savings these solutions deliver – like the $30 million per year one of Geotab's customers saves by reducing self-insured claims in vehicle damage, personal injury and worker's compensation.”
Horn concluded that RACO Wireless is happy to support Geotab’s efforts. Geotab’s continued growth will receive support from RACO Wireless.
In other news, to offer customers instant access to wireless data everywhere anytime, Everything Everywhere, the U.K.'s communications company, recently signed a partnership agreement with RACO Wireless. With this partnership, RACO Wireless' customers will be able to work on Everything Everywhere's network for their international operations, allowing them to quickly and easily launch M2M applications throughout Europe.
