Intrinsyc Software (News - Alert) International, Inc., a product development company, is opening an engineering center in San Diego, California to meet the company's growing demand for product development services.
The new office will be located in Sorrento Valley in close proximity to numerous wireless technology companies.
Officials with Intrinsyc Software said that, in addition to product development services for the world's leading OEM companies developing wireless devices, the San Diego location will become the center for new product initiatives related to development of M2M (Machine-to-Machine) solutions.
"We are expanding our engineering capabilities due to increasing customer demand for our product development services, as well as new technology partnerships and product initiatives," said Tracy Rees, chief executive officer, Intrinsyc, in a statement.
Rees said that with company’s new presence in San Diego, the company will be able to provide better collaboration with regional customers and technology partners, as well as attract new talent to the company.
“I am especially looking forward to the new solutions that we will be developing to enable intelligent connected devices for M2M markets such as wireless health and fitness, smart grids, and more," he said.
Intrinsyc is currently recruiting staff and will open the new office on November 1, 2011.
Meanwhile, the company will release its fiscal 2011 third quarter for the three and nine months ending September 30, 2011 financial results on November 10.

- Alert), Inc., a provider of processor architectures and cores, and Intrinsyc Software are partnering to bring 3.5G functionality to the MIPS architecture.
Officials with MIPS Technologies said that the companies are porting Intrinsyc's RapidRIL software to the company’s architecture in order to accelerate mobile SoC development for MIPS licensees around the globe.
