With the new powerful tool, Cheetah Software expects to assist fleets in analyzing the impact of operational changes, to monitor performance, and find ways to enhance operational performance.

“The Cheetah Operations Simulator helps our customers make intelligent decisions about how their operations are running and where improvements can be made,” said Bobby Darroll, Cheetah’s president and CEO, in a statement.

The simulator uses production data to rerun a day's work and simulate driver communication activities. According to the company, Cheetah customers can run through scenarios representing days of operations in a few hours while a route analysis spreadsheet helps compare actual results with the simulated output.

By using the The Cheetah Operations Simulator, customers can evaluate and make intelligent decisions about the kind and amount of equipment needed for optimal performance and they can also assess whether their current assets are adequate to profitably handle more orders. Further, they will also be able to determine whether they need to expand or consolidate the terminal network.

Customers are thus able to identify ways in which efficiency, productivity and profitability can be enhanced. The Cheetah Operations Simulator is available to Cheetah customers immediately.

Recently, TMCnet reported that Tropical Shipping USA, LLC , a containerized cargo carrier with operating facilities in select seaside ports, has implemented the SaaS (News - Alert)-based Cheetah Drayage system to enhance their ability to provide on-time trucking services to their customers and is specifically utilizing Cheetah Drayage to improve fleet utilization, reduce fuel costs, and increase operating efficiency.
