Isotrak Ltd. and has announced strategic partnership with C3 (News - Alert) Solutions Inc., a provider of software solutions dedicated to the area of yard management and dock scheduling, to integrate their respective industry leading systems.

The partnership will help the Isotrak and C3 customers to reap more benefits than that they already have experience with Yard Smart and ATMS (Active Transport Management System).

Nicholas Couture, President of C3 Solutions, said that by integrating telematics information into the yard operation is a powerful feature for their customers, as the real time data provided by Isotrak’s ATMS system significantly improves Yard Smart’s capability to increase productivity in the yard.

According to both companies, users cansolve unique operational challenges with the system exchange; for example, by using this integrated solution, if the user can send the estimated time of arrival (ETA) information from trucks that are destined to yards managed by C3’s Yard Smart, then the Yard Smart’s intelligent agent software can adjust the trailer selection based on real-time events to avoid unnecessary trailer moves, or direct time sensitive loads to their destinations without delay, which can help in reducing operational costs and CO2 emissions.

Not only that, the C3 Yard Smart customers can also make use of the Isotrak integration functionality with Yard Smart version 4.2. The functionality will be available to Isotrak customers in the 6.2 release of the ATMS transportation execution system.
