In a release, Trevor Mecham, Case IH AFS Marketing Manager, said, “Telematics creates a pipeline to send machine, agronomic and job-site information over the air to help customers maximize their efficiency and decision-making capabilities. Essentially, AFS Connect collects data from a machine’s electronics, display and GPS satellites and forwards the information over the air. Farm owners and managers will be able to remotely locate, communicate and track their entire fleet with ease. They can monitor multiple activities and equipment in their fields from a computer in their office.”

AFS Connect Manager and AFS Connect Executive are the two new Case IH Telematics programs that can now be availed off from Case IH dealerships in the coming spring. This manager will provide a host of fleet management abilities, the localization of machines, an overview of working as well as alerts and security features.

AFS Connect Executive comes with all the characteristics of AFS Connect Manager and also virtual display, performance analysis, messaging and file management. Mecham goes on to explain that the display gives the user the ability to look up as many as four machines on the same page. Also owners will be able to make charts, create bar graphs and also downloadable reports. This is all done with the performance reporting tools.

One of the features that are most in demand with the AFS Connect Executive is Fuel management. The software intimates you with an SMS, which again is among the foremost requested features.  This SMS system is what will help owners keep a track of their vehicles and guard against thieves. If one opts for the anti-theft system, one can sure that the price of premiums will come down significantly.

Mechan said, “Through our strategic alliance with Trimble (News - Alert), a recognized leader in GPS and precision technology, Case IH will be able to provide even more innovative precision applications and services designed specifically for Case IH equipment. This re-commitment to precision agriculture is further proof of our dedication to providing Case IH customers with cutting-edge solutions, to help them be ready to meet the needs of a growing global population.”
