Inilex, a provider of intelligent telemetry solutions for vehicle theft recovery, has recently appointed industry veteran CJ Morton as vice president of corporate development.
In his new role, Morton will be responsible for capturing new business opportunities in critical growth markets. He will also have a crucial role in all aspects of Inilex’s strategic transactions, including alliances.
“We predict the vehicle telematics industry will more-than-double over the next five years, which presents innumerable business opportunities for us to pursue,” said Inilex CEO Michael Maledon, in a release. “CJ is an expert at finding and forming the partnerships that have significant revenue potential, and that expertise will enable Inilex to fully capitalize on a primed market.”
Officials said that Morton holds more than two decades of business development experience in fast-growth markets, with an emphasis on forming strategic partnerships and other revenue-generating collaborations.
Prior to joining Inilex, he served as independent consultant for a joint venture between RouteCloud and TASER International, where he helped design solutions to curb teens from distracted driving due to cell phone usage. Morton also formed hardware vendor relationships and established business relationships in the insurance and retail sectors.
Morton also founded and served as president of Home Care Assistance of Arizona, funding and managing all aspects of a successful agency specializing in quality in-home assisted care for seniors. Before that, he worked for software development provider ProSource, as an acting vice president of operations.
In related news, TASER International, Inc., a global provider of safety technologies that protect life, prevent conflict, and resolve disputes, has selected the Bomgar (News - Alert) remote support solution to improve IT support for their employees.
