RACO Wireless, which specializes in providing wireless connectivity for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications via T-Mobile's (News
- Alert) network, announced that it was well set to enjoy an increase of 300 percent in 2011.
"The phenomenal growth and momentum RACO Wireless has seen this year is a win not only for us, but also for T-Mobile USA," said John Horn, president of RACO Wireless. “Together, we're not only delivering outstanding M2M applications and connectivity, we're underscoring a dominant leadership position in the M2M industry."
Much of the growth was primarily attributed to the company's capacity to help its partners assemble a flexible, end-to-end M2M connectivity solution within just days and sometimes even within hours and bring M2M applications to the market very speedily.
RACO Wireless claims that it is able to gain new solution providers in just a day and this was in stark contrast to the industry average that ranged from weeks to months.
Stan Simpliciano, senior director of MVNO/M2M at T-Mobile USA, congratulated RACO Wireless on its tremendous growth and noted that RACO's ability to speedily introduce M2M solutions in the market helped companies and devices to connect in unexpected ways.
As part of its expansion and growth strategy, RACO Wireless added several new members and many industry veterans to its team.
Senior strategist and consultant, James Brehm, Compass (News - Alert) Intelligence forecast a CAGR of more than 25 percent for the next-generation M2M and connected device market. Stressing the need for an ecosystem that looked beyond the traditional approach, a process that wasn't always easy, he noted that M2M enablers like RACO Wireless were setting a fine example.
Horn expected more M2M player consolidation and increasing M2M expansion into very specific market niches, like asset management, in 2012.
In related news, RACO Wireless, a key M2M partner and enabler powered by T-Mobile, announced support for M2M connectivity and SIM management for Geotab. Geotab is a provider of end-to-end solutions that give customers the tools and data they need to improve efficiencies, reduce waste, build service levels and increase revenues from their fleets.
