“The company's subscription growth in 2011 was at the higher end of the range of expectations as a result of strong demand from our channel partners in the latter half of last year. We believe that this trend will continue and, as a result, we expect to grow our M2M subscription base between 23 percent and 28 percent in 2012. This growth in subscriptions will drive additional 2012 M2M recurring revenues, which we anticipate will increase by 18 percent to 23 percent,” said Stratton Nicolaides, chairperson and CEO of Numerex, in a statement.

Meanwhile, Numerex Corp. recently received two new patents from the US Patent and Trademark Office. One patent enables a digital/analog management system for wireless customer premises equipment, while the other patent enables more efficient messaging over a data network.

Numerex has received two patents in the fourth quarter of 2011. In addition to its significant licensing portfolio, Numerex has been granted a total of 52 patents for its M2M technology innovations, the company said.

The digital upgrade system translates a command from analog to digital so that it can be broadcast over a wireless digital network. Alternatively, the system can translate a digital message to an analog command to be received by a functionality module of a wireless CPE Host.
