Arrow Electronics Brings KORE Telematics Services and Technologies to North America


A provider of technology solutions to a variety of markets, including telecommunications, information systems, transportation, medical, industrial and consumer electronics, Arrow Electronics (News - Alert) has reportedly signed a distribution agreement with KORE Telematics.

KORE Telematics is a large, specialized provider of wireless services for the machine-to-machine (M2M) marketplace. According to the company,  KORE Telematics powers hundreds of solution providers and application providers worldwide, across diverse industries including vehicle location, utility metering, payment processing, landfill monitoring, asset management, offender tracking and more. KORE’s services are known for a high level of reliability and coverage.

Demands for M2M connectivity is on the constant rise. Thanks to the agreement, Arrow will now bring the complete portfolio of KORE’s services and technologies to facilitate M2M applications deployment to North American customers. 

KORE global connect service offering delivers unified control and management for cellular and satellite network service in more than 170 countries worldwide. The partnership between Arrow and KORE will enable M2M applications solution providers to efficiently deliver M2M applications anywhere in the world across diverse industries.

“KORE enhances Arrow’s service provider offering and client services to help us serve the diverse needs of our M2M customers and applications. By providing data services, remote management and control for cellular and satellite-enabled applications, we can more efficiently deliver M2M solutions for connected devices,” David West, vice president of supplier marketing and asset management for Arrow Electronics, explained in a press release.

Earlier this month, Arrow Electronics announced the successful completion of the acquisition of all of the assets and operations of the distribution business of Seed International Ltd.

Seed is headquartered in Beijing, China, and has approximately 200 employees, with 100 in value-added engineering. The company's sales for the latest fiscal year were approximately $90 million.
