Delta Airlines Teams up with M2M Provider OnAsset Intelligence for Cargo Tracking

Machine-to-machine (M2M) technology is only growing in the 21st century. This particular technology allows for companies to set up wireless connections between their devices in order to have a more secure setup when it comes to tracking their merchandise. M2M is so big that there are conferences that allow for businesses to come and see what the technology can do for them. The M2M Evolution conference is the biggest and the best of these get-togethers with some of the best companies in the sector participating.

According to several different studies, M2M technology will be generating somewhere in the neighborhood of $57 billion by 2014. It is no wonder that every day it seems that there is a new business or business partnership emerging that is taking advantage of machine-to-machine technological benefits.

To that end, one of the top M2M companies in the business, OnAsset (News - Alert) Intelligence, announced late last week that they had forged a partnership with Delta Airlines. OnAsset Intelligence has long been one of the most trusted machine-to-machine asset tracking providers in the business sector. Delta Airlines has recently been ranked as one of the best airlines. It is clear that Delta feels that if they want to stay at the top of the airline rankings they are going to need to take some drastic measures. Finding a new way to allow their customers to track their packages would fall into that category.

This new partnership will mean that Delta Cargo customers will be able to track their shipments with GPS technology on the site Deltacargo.com. The companies say that the agreement is meant to offer Delta customers a seamless experience where they will be able to track and trace their cargo while it is in transit. The customized web page will allow users to track their cargo easier and with a dashboard that is intuitive even for those who may not be used to using this kind of software.
