The actual number of connected devices as of now is not clear. IBM (News - Alert) recently put out an estimate which said that there would be over 1 trillion devices by 2015. Irrespective of the numbers, one thing is clear. The connected market will continue to experience growth and companies and businesses who have products and services that will address the needs of the connected market will do well in the coming years.

With so many connected devices in the market, all of these connections will look to leverage a wide range of fixed and wireless technologies. Harbor Research reports that the annual number of cellular Machine-to-Machine (M2M) connections will grow to 161 million globally by the end of this year and is estimated to reach 390 million by 2014.

Qamtel is aware of this market and through its subsidiaries Machine 2 Machine and DataJack, offers a portfolio of broadband and enhanced communications solutions. Some of the solutions offered include: subscriber based voice services, engineering, design, manufacturing and distribution of M2M wireless broadband technology and solutions.

QuamTel focuses its efforts on customers who like to pre-pay for mobile data, International calling and global VoIP services. The company follows a no-contract, no-credit check policy which enables it to serve a wide range of consumers and business customers while providing an easy and economical way to use and purchase those services without sacrificing quality. QuamTel is also in the business of developing proprietary technologies that control and manage associated communication devices for both carriers and consumers.
