Stratecast expects that of the 2 billion smartphones which is forecasted to be sold every year by 2014, sales of Ultra Mobile Devices, a segment comprising of Ultra Mobile PCs, netbooks, Mobile Internet Devices and mobile consumer electronics devices, will contribute a major percentage. One of the major hurdles faced by OEMs, service providers and retailers will be to provide an easy, fast and smooth mode to make these widespread and popular devices functional.
