were reportedly named at this year’s annual World Communication Awards, or “WCAs,” as the “Best Change-Maker” for their innovative work in the development of a remote monitoring solution for cardiac patients.
The Best Change Maker Award from WCA is stated as the telecommunications industry’s most prestigious prize for monumental business achievements.
Barbara Dalibard, president and CEO at Orange Business Services, said that the remote health monitoring solution as a technological leap forward in making telemedicine a viable form of treatment for cardiac patients.

Alert) and Orange leverages M2M and e-Health technologies that record readings from implanted cardiac rhythm management devices and transmit the findings through an IP network to their physicians for evaluation. Developed with an intention to improve the quality of life for patients, the solution also is said to act as a way to render pinpoint accurate care, and eventually raise the service bar in healthcare.
This solution was recognized by WCA for its unique ability to follow cardiac disease progression based on Sorin Group’s expertise as well as the balanced mix of security, applications development and also the capability from Orange to deliver easy-to-access data for the physician.
