Sponsored by Multi-Tech Systems, and co-located with ITEXPO, M2M Evolution is an educational and networking event focused on Machine to Machine (M2M) Technologies.  Registration is now open at www.m2mevolution.com/conference

Together, the M2M Evolution Conference and its related news Website are the most complete resources of media dedicated to providing information on Machine-to-Machine technologies.

Today’s machines benefit from the ability to connect worldwide. As machines continue to look to network, the wireless world represents a large growth opportunity for data communication. M2M solutions are driving data demand with tight vertical integration for specific industries like healthcare, refinery or transportation - or for supporting the general IT needs associated with data centers, facilities and security. M2M systems reflect the data strategies, APIs, and middleware used throughout the industry. This is an enterprise driven business, with an estimated 38 billion devices benefitting from information networking.

Breakout sessions at M2M Evolution address the most pressing issues facing companies that have deployed M2M in the past, or found it to be too costly to deploy. Each session is designed to bring attendees into the next phase of planning. Sessions, with confirmed presenting companies, include:

  • The Machines are Talking: featuring Numerex and Motorola (News - Alert): will provide an overview of the sensors and processors that are associated with M2M technologies and how they are being deployed today.
  • The “2” part between the M and Ms: featuring T-Mobile and Clearwire (News - Alert): will discuss various protocols such as Zigbee, SIP and others, addressing when each is appropriate to facilitate M2M communication.
  • It Don’t Mean A Thing… featuring IBM, Oracle (News - Alert) and Appush: will discuss integrating the information from machines, to vertical back end systems, and to a company’s business processes.
  • The Connected Consumer and Smart M2M Services: will evaluate the entire ecosystem of smart, M2M-based products that can enhance our health, and impact our lives at home in a positive manner.
  • Case Studies in M2M: featuring Radvision (News - Alert) and ACP: this session will look at the applications that M2M supports, and it will highlight how rural applications are being used.
  • The Case for SIP in M2M, featuring Adobe: This panel will discuss where SIP is being applied and what opportunities exist for SIP to reach beyond telecom.

"With the saturation of wireless phones, the opportunity for machine to machine solutions represents a stronger growth and a lucrative transitory path to the wireless broadband Internet," explains Crossfire Media’s Carl Ford. “The M2M Evolution Conference brings together the brightest minds from each segment of the developing M2M ecosystem – developers, service providers, and equipment manufacturers – creating an invaluable networking and partnership-building opportunity for all in attendance.”

“The M2M conference complements our 4GWE event, and it’s also related to the Smart Grid conference, tying together several of the new elements we’ve brought to ITEXPO over the last year,” said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), CEO and group editor-in-chief of TMC. “These additions reflect the ongoing evolution of the telecommunications industry, and they underscore our commitment to keeping ITEXPO’s content on the leading edge.”

Registration for the M2M Evolution Conference is now open. Members of the media can reserve media credentials by contacting Todd Keefe at todd@firpr.com.
